On January 8, 2013 the City Council adopted revisions to the City’s code relating to home occupations. Ordinance No.3 of 2013 streamlines the process for citizens to obtain a business license, provides clearer standards for operation and reduces the associated fees.
Changes to the ordinance include:
Removal of Conditional Home Occupations and the special exception approval process.
- Removal of the Home Occupation Review Fees (standard business license fees still apply).
- Permits the use of accessory structures.
- Permits employees with limitations
- Changes to standards and prohibited uses
