UPDATE On March 12, 2014 the Planning Commission voted to forward a positive recommendation on both plans
On February 12, 2014 the Planning Commission went out into the community to hold their public hearing. There are two major plans under development for the West Salt Lake Master Plan area. First the rewrite of the West Salt Lake Master Plan and second the 9-Line Corridor Plan. In order to increase participation and ensure that community voices are heard the Planning Commission held their public hearing at the Pioneer Police Precinct. Over 100 community members attended the hearing and had a chance to speak. The Planning Commission closed the public hearing on the 9-Line and will make its recommendation at an upcoming meeting. The Planning Commission tabled the West Salt Lake Master Plan, leaving the public hearing open to additional comments at an upcoming meeting.
